INTERNSHIP OPPORTUNITIES
The Full-time In-Person program provides three to six month paid internships with corporate sponsors. Code Platoon’s focus on real world application means you’ll not only be mentored by professional software developers in the classroom but often continue your conversations at their own workspaces. Any seasoned software developer can confirm that if you don’t use it, you’ll lose it; and the intensive training only pays off if you stay engaged early and often.

While internships vary in scope and nature, their goal is to provide you with a birds-eye view of what it takes to bring production-grade, user-backed software to life. You’ll not only support and develop features but familiarize yourself with the patterns and workflow of your peers. Toward the end of your internship, you will have tasted the ingredients of success and developed a cadence by which to chart your own path toward the summit of your career goals.
” I am currently finishing the second month of a six-month internship… So far, the support here has been outstanding, and I find myself at a company where people really seem to enjoy their work. You wouldn’t believe what a difference that makes every morning when I walk in!”
Software Engineer, Power Reviews
Sometimes an intern will accept a permanent role with their sponsors while others expand their horizons. Software developers are hired by companies of all shapes, sizes, industries and trajectories. Most Code Platoon graduates pursuing a career in software development, with or without a prior internship, are hired into permanent roles within six months after the in-person program has ended (see our Outcomes Report, August 2018). Companies are telling our graduates that their hard work, dedication, and discipline instilled through their service pays off in the real-word.
Our internships rely on the the cooperation of corporate sponsors. In order to ensure that all students have the opportunity to participate in this life-changing experience, please contact us if you are interested in becoming a sponsor, or are able to help spread the word to potential sponsors by becoming an ambassador.
