Scholarships are available for both Veterans and military spouses who will attend Code Platoon. Recipients of this scholarship receive up to $15,500.

Our goal at Code Platoon is to help make a career in software engineering accessible to all underrepresented groups and contribute to diversifying the technology workforce. Black and Hispanic Scholarships are available for each cohort. This scholarship is awarded to Veterans and military spouses. Each scholarship is valued at $18,000, which is the full cost of tuition.

This scholarship is awarded to a female Veteran in honor of Rear Admiral Grace Hopper. “We know that women only make up about 25% of IT roles. Code Platoon is committed to creating more access and opportunities for Veteran women engineers. This scholarship reaffirms that commitment.” says Rodrigo Levy, Executive Director, Code Platoon.

This scholarship is awarded to transgender Veterans or military spouses. “At Code Platoon, we are extremely proud that we are absolutely egalitarian, where every student has an equal opportunity to succeed. Our transgender scholarship is an opportunity to provide access to our training program for this underrepresented group.” says Rodrigo Levy, Executive Director, Code Platoon.

MilSpouse Coders empowers military spouses around the globe to find challenging and fulfilling careers in technology. MilSpouse Coders provides Code Platoon scholarships for military spouses in awards of up to $15,500. Learn more about MilSpouse Coders here.

Code Platoon provides transitioning service members with an opportunity to develop in-demand job skills while still serving. Active duty service members in the SkillBridge program can use their last six months of active duty to participate in Code Platoon’s Full-time program. The NMFA scholarship is awarded to a recipient registered with the National Military Family Association (NMFA), who attends Code Platoon. Veterans and military spouses are eligible—recipients of this scholarship receive up to $15,500 thanks to NMFA. NMFA is the voice of military families who stand behind the uniform and for those who serve. Learn more about NMFA here.
The Regional Transportation Authority may also cover transportation if you are a Veteran.
