APPRENTICESHIP OPPORTUNITIES
All students in an Immersive program are eligible to participate in the apprenticeship program, as long as they can be in the physical location required by the specific apprenticeship (most typically, but not always, Chicago).
While apprenticeships vary in scope and nature, their goal is to provide you with a birds-eye view of what it takes to bring production-grade, user-backed software to life. You’ll not only support and develop features but familiarize yourself with the patterns and workflow of your peers. Toward the end of your apprenticeship, you will have tasted the ingredients of success and developed a cadence by which to chart your path toward the summit of your career goals.
The number of apprenticeships varies by cohort, and there is no guarantee that there will be apprenticeship opportunities for every cohort.

” I am currently finishing the second month of a six-month internship… So far, the support here has been outstanding, and I find myself at a company where people really seem to enjoy their work. You wouldn’t believe what a difference that makes every morning when I walk in!”
Sometimes an apprentice will accept a permanent role with their host company while others expand their horizons. Software engineers are hired by companies of all shapes, sizes, industries, and trajectories. Most Code Platoon graduates pursuing a career in software engineering, with or without a prior apprenticeship, are hired into permanent roles within six months after graduation (see our Outcomes Report).
Our apprenticeships rely on the cooperation of corporate sponsors. To ensure that all students have the opportunity to participate in this life-changing experience, please contact us if you are interested in becoming a corporate partner or can help spread the word to potential sponsors by becoming an ambassador.
