AI Cloud and DevOps Engineering program
The AI Cloud and DevOps Engineering program is built for the future, combining core DevOps principles with a strong focus on AI and Cloud Engineering. Students will gain hands-on experience with Amazon SageMaker, Amazon Bedrock, and a suite of AWS AI services—from training ML models to deploying chatbots and building automation with Bedrock Agents.
The AI Cloud and DevOps Engineering program is perfect for learning a new career skill or upskilling your current career. This forward-thinking curriculum is designed to prepare graduates for in-demand roles at the intersection of DevOps and applied AI, including:
- DevOps Engineer
- Platform Engineer
- Site Reliability Engineer
- Cloud Engineer
- Security Engineer
The 28-week program includes the following modules:
- Computer Science/Networking /Programming Fundamentals – Build the base to understand more advanced DevOps concepts. We cover the Linux operating system, how data flows in and out of a network, and how to read/write Python to accomplish tasks.
- Key DevOps tools – Become familiar with in-demand DevOps tools and technologies, including Terraform, Ansible, and GitHub Actions, along with foundational skills in Docker, SQL/NoSQL databases, and full-stack cloud architecture.
- Databases/Artifacts /Build Tools – Master different types of databases and their use cases, including key/value, document, and particularly relational databases in the form of SQL to query databases. They will also learn to package applications into artifacts using the specific build tools for each framework and pull/push the artifacts to an artifact repository manager.
- Earn the AWS AI Practitioner Certification – Validate your ability to integrate and manage AI-driven solutions in real-world environments.
- Infrastructure as Code/Containerization – Discover scripting and automating the creation of an application’s infrastructure using Terraform. Explore the benefits of containerization to simplify publishing applications as artifacts using Docker, orchestrating containers using Kubernetes (K8s), and utilizing AWS’s managed K8s service EKS.
- Configuration Management & Monitoring – Learn how to manage the configuration of IaC scripts using Ansible and create monitors and alerts for applications using Prometheus.
Training on the use of Artificial Intelligence (AI) is integrated throughout our curriculum, ensuring that students understand its importance alongside core software engineering skills. The training addresses prompt engineering and the judicious use of AI tools, balancing efficiency with a strong understanding of fundamentals.

Expert Training on an Evening & Weekend Schedule
The AI Cloud and DevOps Engineering program spans 28 weeks. Classes meet Mondays, Tuesdays, and Thursdays from 5:30-9:30 p.m. CST and Saturdays from 8 a.m.-5 p.m. CST. Students attend their online classes live remotely during these weekly program periods. Classes feature a mix of lectures, presentations, and hands-on project time.

Career Preparation and Placement
Preparing students for the tech workplace is essential to Code Platoon training. Our Beyond Tech eight-part career preparation workshop series begins during classes and continues after graduation with Career Services.

- Job search and application guidance
- Behavioral and technical interviewing prep
After graduation, Code Platoon’s Career Services team works with each graduate as needed to find full-time employment in AI Cloud and DevOps Engineering fields.
Tuition
Tuition for the AI Cloud and DevOps Engineering program is $20,000. A deposit of $500 is required after acceptance to secure your spot in the program. We’re here to help make your training more accessible—you may be able to use GI Bill or VR&E to cover program costs. Scholarships are also available for accepted students.
