Code Platoon had a program that fit perfectly into my SkillBridge window. It’s hard to transition out of the military, but doing it with a team that understood and surrounded me with others in that transition made it easier.

What Code Platoon programs can I do via SkillBridge?

Active duty Servicemembers can participate in Skillbridge during their last 120–180 days of service (the exact window varies by Command). Currently, Code Platoon’s Full-Stack Software Engineering Immersive program (15 weeks) is the only program that fits within this transition window.

No, the SkillBridge program itself doesn’t provide funding, but you can use GI Bill®, VR&E, or a pay-what-you-can scholarship to cover the cost of your Code Platoon training.

How do I get command approval to participate in SkillBridge at Code Platoon?

You’ll need approval from your unit commander or education office, and the process varies by branch and command structure. You should connect with your base Transition Assistance Program for guidance. Code Platoon provides an introductory letter and command approval template to make the process simpler. Contact us if your command requires additional documentation for your SkillBridge application.

Can I attend Code Platoon remotely during my SkillBridge window?

Yes. Code Platoon’s Full-Stack Immersive program can be completed remotely during your SkillBridge period, allowing you to participate from anywhere.
