Who is eligible to attend Code Platoon?

Code Platoon's programs are open to U.S. military Veterans, active duty Servicemembers, military spouses, and adult dependents interested in pursuing careers in software engineering and technology. Applicants must be at least 18 years old and hold a high school diploma or equivalent.

Do I need prior coding experience to apply?

No. Many Code Platoon students begin with little or no coding experience. Our admissions process is designed to help you build foundational skills before the program begins, and we offer resources to help you prepare for success. What matters most is your willingness to learn and commitment to the process.

Can I use VA benefits or scholarships to attend?

Yes. Eligible students may be able to use GI Bill® benefits, Veteran Readiness & Employment (VR&E), transferred education benefits, or Code Platoon's Pay-What-You-Can Scholarship program. Our team will help you explore available options and identify the funding path that best fits your situation.

Can I attend while still serving in the military?

Yes. Active duty Servicemembers may be eligible to participate through programs such as SkillBridge during their final months of service. Code Platoon also offers remote and flexible learning options that can help students prepare for civilian careers while still serving.

What kind of career support does Code Platoon provide?

Career preparation is built into the Code Platoon experience. Students receive support through resume and LinkedIn workshops, interview preparation, networking opportunities, mentorship, and ongoing guidance from our Career Services team during and after the program.
